Literacy Coach Lauren Canalori teaches students the basics of writing a blues song.
This year's 4th Grade Blues Musician Inquiry Project kicked off today!!  4th grade classes came to the LMC and rotated through 4 stations gaining background knowledge about Blues music and musicians. The stations included: a video of various Blues musicians, a listening station of Blues music with written lyrics for them to follow, a write your own Blues song station and a computer station where they watched a PowerPoint presentation of commonly used Blues instruments and used and an interactive website to create Blues songs.

After completing their research on a selected musician, students will have the choice of creating a poster of significant life events or of painting a portrait of their musician and audio recording a first person narrative of their musician that will be converted into a QR code
